SGL Carbon, BMW To Forge JV For Carbon Fiber Tech
FRANKFURT.- Germany's SGL Carbon SE (SGL.XE) and luxury carmaker BMW AG (BMW.XE) said Thursday they plan to forge a joint venture to manufacture carbon fibers and fabrics for the auto industry, with an overall investment of EUR230 million. "We are acquiring pioneering future technologies and raw materials that we need for our megacity vehicle on competitive terms," BMW Chief Executive Norbert Reithofer said in a statement.

Continental Airlines forges Asian partnership
Continental Airlines, which just joined the Star Alliance this week, has already found a new partner to boost service to the Asia/Pacific region.
