Philipines will build containers company in Manzanillo, México

International Container Terminal Services (ICTSI) has won a 34 four-year license to build and operate the second terminal especialised in containers (TEC) of Manzanillo port, in Colima, México, according to BNAmericas
The company offered to invest US$196mn in the port, the highest offer received by Mexican authorities.

MUNICH (Reuters) - German conglomerate Siemens, the world's market leader in offshore wind turbines, is aiming to become one of the top three suppliers to the wind power market by 2012, the head of its Wind Power unit said."The global wind power market will grow from about 30 billion euros ($44.43 billion) annually today to more than 200 billion euros by 2030. We anticipate especially robust growth in the Asia-Pacific region," Siemens Wind Power CEO Andreas Nauen told reporters on Wednesday.

NEW YORK, Dec 9 (Reuters) - Grupo Mexico SAB de CV (GMEXICOB.MX) said on Wednesday it completed its deal to regain control of U.S. copper miner Asarco LLC, bringing to an end Asarco's four-year bankruptcy.Asarco, based in Tucson, Arizona, filed for bankruptcy protection in 2005 amid a strike and more than $1 billion of asbestos and environmental claims.

Nokia predicts rebound of global mobile phone sales in 2010

HELSINKI - Nokia, the world's biggest mobile phone maker, predicted Wednesday that global sales of mobile phones would grow around 10 percent in volume next year after falling some seven percent this year."Nokia expects industry mobile device volumes to be up approximately 10 percent in 2010, compared to 2009," the Finnish company said at its capital markets day in Helsinki."Smartphone (volume) growth will be significantly higher," Nokia's chief executive Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo told

BHP, Rio seal iron ore joint venture agreement

MELBOURNE - Mining giants BHP Billiton and Rio Tinto on Saturday signed a $116 billion iron ore joint venture agreement to combine their Western Australian iron ore operations.The agreement brings together two of the world's three largest iron ore producers, and has upset major customers in China. However, it still faces substantial hurdles, in particular approval by the European Commission, due to concerns about excessive dominance of the iron ore market.

NEW YORK -- Bloomberg LP said Tuesday it has completed its purchase of McGraw-Hill's BusinessWeek magazine.The financial data and news company had agreed to buy the business magazine in October.McGraw-Hill Cos. has said that it was getting $5 million in cash and that Bloomberg was assuming an unspecified amount of BusinessWeek's liabilities.The purchase had been expected to close by the end of the year.

Heijmans Non-residential Building and Heijmans' subsidiary Burgers Ergon Technical Services will jointly realize the construction of the new buildings for the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee at Schiphol. This involves an office building and quarters for accommodating Marechaussee personnel on duty. The contract was signed by the Dienst Vastgoed Defensie (Ministry of Defence, Property Service) and Heijmans on Thursday 26 November. The overall contract is valued at approximately €45 million.
